Olá Pessoal!
Infelizmente não foi dessa vez que pudemos ver Shania na TV brasileira. Foi mesmo uma pena ela não ter participado da Cerimônia de Abertura da Olimpíadas de Inverno em Vancouver no último dia 12. Em todo caso, acredito que ainda sim valeu a pena ter virado a madrugada vidrado na TV. A cerimônia foi sem dúvida espetacular e muito bem organizada. Jamais se imaginou que se pudesse impressionar tanto utilizando apenas efeitos de luzes e imagens, deixando de lado o velho recurso da pirotecnia. Sem contar que foi emocionante ver a alegria e o patriotismo do povo canadense. Eles mostraram que é possível a união em meio as diversidades étnicas existentes no país. Tenho que parabenizar o VANOC (Vancouver Olympic Comitee) pela organização dos jogos como um todo e o povo canadense por estarem sendo excelentes anfitriões. Espero que o Brasil possa se espelhar nisso para 2014 e 2016, pois sabemos que a experiência do Pan 2007 foi muito boa, mas deixou a desejar em alguns aspectos. Ah, quem quiser, pode acompanhar a programação e os resultados pelo site oficial dos jogos.
Bom, agora vamos ao assunto da postagem. Foi publicada essa semana a lista de artistas, álbuns e canções com maiores certificações da década (2000-2009) pela RIAA (Record Industry Association of America), órgão responsável por essa honraria nos EUA. Beyoncé lidera a lista se considerada suas certificações em todas as categorias. Shania, por sua vez, aparece como a dona do álbum de uma artista feminina com maior número de certificações da década. Up! foi certificado 11 vezes com disco de platina. Vejam a seguir a lista completa com os líderes da década.
