Superbowl 2003

Olá pessoal,

O Super Bowl é o campeonato de futebol americano da National Football League (NFL) - Liga Nacional de Futebol - nos Estados Unidos. Começou em janeiro de 1967 e desta, está já no quadragésimo campeonato.
Em 26 de janeiro de 2003, no halftime show (um intervalo para apresentações musicais que acontece entre os jogos da segunda e terceira quadra do evento) o convidado escolhido para prestigiar o espetáculo foi Shania. Estava muito ansiosa e um pouco nervosa, pois não seria uma apresentação comum. O público televisivo previsto para o evento era maior que 800.000 pessoas, além do que já estava no Estádio Qualcomm, em San Diego, Califórnia. Todas essas pessoas viram, ao vivo, Shania cantar uma união de "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" e "Up!", onde esta última foi em parte cantada em cima de uma plataforma móvel que, certamente, atingia mais de 10m de altura. Além da pressão de cantar depois de Santana, Beyoncé e Michelle Branch, e de vir antes de Sting e Bon Jovi.
Alguns dias antes Shania foi a uma conferência de imprensa onde disse estar esperançosa em orgulhar seus conterrâneos (que também viram a ver o evento pela TV) com sua apresentação num campeonato tão importante. Por falar em conterrâneos, uma outra canadense também esteve prestigiando o evento. Celine Dion foi quem precedeu o pontapé inicial dos jogos, cantando "God Bless America". Duas divas num só evento, quer mais?
